The Legend
Potions, Tinctures and Remedies. These were the official products created for the maladies and agues suffered by the upper classes and nobility of English society in the 17th Century. The purveyor of these cures was one Mallachi Azriel Raymond; the son of an Apothecary born at the Roman town of St. Albans in 1614.
Alchemy, Necromancy and Black Magic. These were the dark and secretive practices that the first M Raymond ESQ studied with such fervour and deep devotion that they would mark him (and his family line) for centuries to come.
His knowledge of these practices was, purportedly, handed down through the generations of first-born sons, who continued the family ‘practice’.
Nobility and Royalty at the time did not know (or did not admit) of the darker purposes of M Raymond ESQ’s operations, to the point where the family business was awarded the Royal Seal in 1851 by Queen Victoria.
In 1951 there was a massive explosion at the Raymond residence in Cornwall that killed the whole family.
